one. credit card. damaged and wiped. *sigh*

zero. cups of coffee glugged during the past six months. as to why, that’s another story.

a friend of mine is a member of INK (aka ilustrador ng kabataan)  and they had these storybook characters exhibited outside the book fair. i must say, the attention to detail was incredible.

now, if i may share the ultra-fabulous manila bay sunset…

some people call it frustration. i call it darn-i’m-out-of-ideas-plus-i-can’t-go-on-roadtrips stage. with gas prices soaring high, my roadtrip escapades have dwindled from two every month to… none. nada. zilch. plus, my roadtrip buddies are either too busy or are away from manila.

on a lighter note…

my friends have recently unveiled their showroom (okay, showroom extension) and i must say… me likey the couch!

i have this friend who has a mild aversion to cameras.

worse, she has to go through another prenup shoot with a photographer she hasn’t met yet, in a public place at 3pm. first prenup shoot was a couple of months ago in the same place.

i tagged along.

good thing, the photographer was funny, the makeup artist was hilarious and the shoot went a-ok.

now if only i can say the same thing about the previous pre-nup shoot…

it was raining so hard, i couldn’t leave until late afternoon.

instead, we attacked banapple’s banoffee and mudpie. i brought a slice of each. johann was on a diet, but who cares? i-treadmill na lang yan!

ohmygoodness i feel so old.

i remember practicing my wedding photography skills (or lack thereof) a long long time ago… but that was for my older cousin’s wedding.

now, this practice session is for my friend. as in college kabarkada.

she had this idea of a japanese-themed wedding, and i asked her as to what degree is the japanese theme in the wedding.

i bought her some royce.

she said, “royce what?”

i almost hyperventilated.

i replied, “it’s just about THE most sinful chocolate.”

it’s smooth as silk and almost superfluous. it has champagne. or cherry marnier, if you like. it is, literally, getting drunk with chocolate. it’s packaged with its own gel ice and cooling container ’cause it softens in 5 seconds. sadly, it only comes with a one-month fridge life.

my cousin introduced royce to be 3 years ago, when she brought a box from singapore. from then on, i was hooked. i have been asking all my friends who go on business trips to japan to bring me a few boxes.

my college kabarkada is getting married in two weeks. i wonder who’s next?

obviously, it’s not going to be me.

finally launched

first time the boys brought me the would-be gallery-slash-showroom for hunter douglas and bedtalk, i told then, “parang di ko ma-imagine…”

but then again, things can change dramatically with an army of carpenters, an architect, an interior designer, ambient lighting and two designer beds.

friends and hunter douglas head honchos were present to witness the unveiling of the new hunter douglas gallery / bedtalk showroom.

soooo adorable.

my friend catcat’s niece, during her christening at makati. reception was at the luna gardens function room.

’twas my first time to photograph a one-month-old baby… how i wish i could carry her to a studio and do the shoot there. so we just had to make do with the function room’s 2-storey high, floor-to-ceiling windows for lighting.

thanks to mark for lending me his digicam… for some reason i can’t comprehend, i brought everything except for my cam’s battery pack. *sigh*
