this has happened before, and i don’t want it to happen again.

i do not like placing watermarks right smack in the middle of my photos because it practically destroys the essence of a photograph. some people use it as a preventive measure against lechers who copy other people’s works and claim it as their own.

if you must use or copy my photos, please leave a message.

sunrise, sunset

picture perfect?

30 pesos for brewed coffee
10 pesos for toll
50 pesos for gas

that’s even less than a tall sugarfree nonfat no-whip caramel machiatto.

Photobucket

i miss bacolod. *sigh*

they’re effortless models.
they know how to smile.
they have indespensable amounts of energy.

i could go on and on and on and on…

Photobucket

now THAT is a truck.

so macho, oh so macho…

the ruins

October 5, 2008

after a 6-month travel drought, i was quite determined to visit and photograph the famed lacson mansion ruins in talisay. but then again, there are a thousand (or more) versions of this structure. i vowed not to take the same photo.

wachathink?

monochromatic makati

September 29, 2008

after 10 minutes of waiting for a friend to meet up with me in the condo lobby… i was bored.

Photobucket

makati has these ridiculous rules against DSLRs, so i took this photo while inside the car.

glug, glug, glug.

September 26, 2008

at the manila ocean park, more than a month ago.

somehow i expected extra-exotic marine life for 400php.

the lapu-lapu (which, could be found in the frozen seafood section at rustan’s grocery) occupied an entire wall. i’m seriously hoping they improve or revamp the place.

eto na lang, big nguso. :D

Photobucket

forgot what it’s called, but it was the only fish that behaved while i was photographing him/her.

sa breakwater

September 18, 2008

four. bannaple cakes devoured in twenty minutes : blueberry cheesecake, oreo cheesecake, snickers cheesecake, and banoffee pie.

three. starbucks coffee branches in mall of asia.

two. books purchased at the manila international book fair. must. practice. discipline.

one. credit card. damaged and wiped. *sigh*

zero. cups of coffee glugged during the past six months. as to why, that’s another story.

a friend of mine is a member of INK (aka ilustrador ng kabataan)  and they had these storybook characters exhibited outside the book fair. i must say, the attention to detail was incredible.

Photobucket

now, if i may share the ultra-fabulous manila bay sunset…

good night, everyone.

couch potato

September 12, 2008

some people call it frustration. i call it darn-i’m-out-of-ideas-plus-i-can’t-go-on-roadtrips stage. with gas prices soaring high, my roadtrip escapades have dwindled from two every month to… none. nada. zilch. plus, my roadtrip buddies are either too busy or are away from manila.

on a lighter note…

my friends have recently unveiled their showroom (okay, showroom extension) and i must say… me likey the couch!

1. tardiness is my enemy

i get pissed when people come late to meetings. as in REALLY pissed. “traffic kasi” doesn’t count. leave early, gademmit.

2. i fuss over the smallest details

thus, increasing the possibility of going over budget. oh trust me. the last company party i organized, we went over double. but then again, the company had lots of spare change, so they were willing to humor me. (”extra stuff” included an orchestra, extra stage lights, smoke machines, cameras (for the VIPs) and cross pens (for employees) as giveaways hehe)

3. people who don’t understand the meaning of “you get what you pay for” — STAY AWAY

be realistic. if you want to throw a party for 500 people in a top-tier hotel, be prepared to settle a six-figure bill.

4. ugly shoes make me hyperventilate

a little wee bit more taste would help. that includes badly-wrapped satin shoes.

5. i always get my way

okay, i might sound a little bratty, but it wouldn’t help if people would listen to me. i may not be a model or fashionista but i do know what NOT to wear. or eat. or play. not for my sake, but for theirs.

6. ridiculously boring photographers tick me off

how many kiss-kiss-kiss photos should you take? less than a dozen, TOTAL. if you want more, maybe a wedding night coverage might suffice. it’s all about the details. clothes. shoes. food. floral arrangements. they would want photos of the stuff they paid for.

7. i’m making this list

oh yes, i’m STILL trying to convince myself.

-o-

i’m pissed. SOOOOO pissed.

but huwhhhyy?

i’m not sure if i should continue torturing myself, trying to help people who ask for it. sometimes they just don’t appreciate what i’m doing for them.

a friend of mine said, “nasa diyos ang awa nasa tao ang gawa. why not relax and leave them to fend for themselves?”

can’t help but think, he’s right. i’m supposed to be the one doing them a favor, not the other way around.

so why am i worried about problems that are not even mine?

aw, shucks.

August 14, 2008

after hoping for a federer-nadal olympics final…

roger federer didn’t make it past the quarterfinals. why oh why?

need i say it again?

aw shucks.
